Jonathan Yu serves as Supervisor (監察人) of TYC Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (域誠環保科技), a Taiwan-based manufacturer of post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin and wood-plastic composite materials, a second-generation family enterprise.
His work with TYC centers on the company's U.S. market entry, including TEXWOOD (極木), its wood-plastic composite product line, and the company's first commercial engagement in North Texas. It spans international sustainability certification, tariff and regulatory positioning in the U.S. materials market, cross-border go-to-market strategy, and corporate development. The role requires operating fluently across two commercial cultures — Taiwanese manufacturing discipline on one side, American procurement, compliance, and distribution logic on the other.
That cross-border capability is grounded in his institutional finance career. Jon works in asset management at The Milestone Group, a Dallas-based national multifamily real estate investment firm, where he oversees a portfolio of approximately 4,100 apartment units across 13 assets in four regional markets. He joined the firm in acquisitions, contributing to roughly six transactions totaling ~2,700 units, before moving into asset management. The work is project management at scale: coordinating property management teams, vendors, lenders, and investment committees across multiple states, on parallel timelines, with capital and NOI performance attached to every decision.
Jon is also a hands-on practitioner of applied AI in traditional industries. He works extensively with AI tools to design analytical and operational workflows, and focuses on where automation genuinely improves decision quality rather than simply adding technology. He came to this work without a formal engineering background — which is the point: in process-heavy industries, the binding constraint on AI adoption is rarely technical talent, but people who understand the underlying business well enough to specify what should be built.
Jon holds an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from SMU Cox School of Business and a Texas Real Estate Salesperson License. He is active with GDTCC and served as Master of Ceremonies for the 35th Annual Gala.
